Andrew grew up on one of the Okanagan Valley’s premiere wineries and comes to UVic following a BVO (Bachelor in Viticulture & Oenology) from Lincoln University, New Zealand. Andrew’s research focus is wine grape ripeness optimization in BC vineyards. In partnership with WIGA member vineyards, Andrew utilizes vineyard field manipulations paired with gas chromatography / mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to reveal how best to realize the potential of BC vineyard terroir.
